For growers, Northern Lights is easy to grow and will yield more buds than any other indica strain. It flowers in just 7 to 9 weeks but remains a small plant which means it is ideal for growing indoors and in stealth situations.

You can grow Northern Lights indoors or outdoors but most growers cultivate it indoors to get multiple growing cycles in a year. It is a fast-growing strain, therefore, you can get more yields as long as you maintain the right growing environment.
Train your plants early. It is best suited for the sea of the green method where your plants will grow behind a net. This technique will let light reach the top canopies of your plants equally. You can use twine or wire to create a screen over your plants.
Keep a steady flow of air inside your growing area to prevent mold and mildew growth. Northern Lights grow large, dense buds and these are very susceptible to mold growth. You must also water only when the soil is dry and not when it is wet or moist to protect your plants from the mold.
This strain prefers long summer seasons and warm, sunny temperatures between 70 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit. This is a good strain for new or novice growers because it is quite easy to grow.
Make sure to supply this fertilizer or nutrient feedings with high nitrogen during the vegetative stage. This will help your plants develop stronger and healthier stems, branches and roots. But during the flowering stage, use a fertilizer with low nitrogen but high phosphorous and potassium to help boost bud growth and increase yields.
